Alas, all good things come to an end at some point, and I find myself, after 8 weeks, with only one week of holidays left before I return to the rat race.
Barring the miracle of a lottery win of course - which is very unlikely (when I studied probability in year 11 maths, it turned out to be odds of over 8 million to one).
Joined my local library for the first time in over a decade and a half the other day. Not so that I can borrow books (I have a library of about 1500 books which is uniquely tailored to my personal intellectual interests in far more detail than the shallow range of pulp bestsellers and school project level non-fiction you can find in most public libraries), but so that I can access the internet here for free. After all, I am still reluctant to get myself a home computer and internet of my own, so if I want to blog or google something of passing interest, I can do so here.
